We have the solutions

Once again this month we showed our flexibility in times of difficulty for many forwarders, following the fire which occurred on September 11th in the France-bound Eurotunnel shuttle train.

After collecting four pallets of highly flammable petroleum products from Hungerford, our driver headed for Dover as usual to make the crossing, but was held in "Operation Stack" due to the ferry operators banning all highly hazardous goods from loading on to the ferries.

Instead of holding up all of the cargo on the trailer, the driver was diverted back up to Maidstone, where he tipped the four pallets for interim storage, before continuing on with his crossing to France.

We then arranged for an ADR equipped vehicle to collect the hazardous pallets from Maidstone to ship via Felixstowe to Vlaardingen (Holland) for on-transport to Germany.

The customer received his consignment in good time - another slick operation by the Barrington team.
